The American car concern Ford is recalling more than 1.5 million cars in the domestic market due to a possible defect in brake lines and windshield wipers. About 1.3 million Ford Fusion and MKX Lincoln midsize vehicles built between 2013 and 2018 may have had a brake line leak. This is evidenced by documents published on Friday by the US regulator NHTSA.
Ford dealers will replace the brake lines on affected vehicles. Ford says it is aware of an accident related to this problem.
Nearly 222,500 F150 pickups are also being recalled for a possible windshield wiper arm failure. According to the car manufacturer, the windshield wiper could come off, increasing the risk of accidents.
