Norway plans to send Leopard 2 main battle tanks to Ukraine as soon as possible. This was announced by the Minister of Defense of Norway on Monday. He suggested that deliveries could be made by the end of March.
Last week, Norway announced its intention to supply a number of Leopard 2 tanks. 36 are used by the Norwegian army.
“We haven’t fixed the number yet,” Defense Minister Bjorn Arild Gram said on Monday. “It is important that this is closely coordinated with partners so that this is a delivery that matters for Ukraine.”
Several other Western countries have said they want to quickly deliver heavy tanks to Ukraine.
