A man is detained after attacking several women with a knife in Duden Park in Forrest in April. That was decided by the board today. The 19-year-old suspect was declared insane.
On the second weekend in April this year, three women were attacked by a man with a knife. The first victim, a 25-year-old woman, had her mobile phone stolen on Saturday, April 9, after which she was stabbed. She said the woman was seriously injured, but she was being treated at a hospital and her injuries were not life-threatening.
The next day, the same perpetrator struck again. He approached the woman, demanded her cell phone, and threatened the victim with a knife. He tried to stab a woman, but the victim was able to dodge his blows.
The suspect was arrested shortly thereafter. It concerns a 19-year-old man who has been in prison since his arrest.

The man appeared before the council in Brussels today, and decided to have the man interned. Internment is a safety measure, not a punishment.
Suspects are entitled to medical care and should theoretically be treated in a psychiatric facility. But there is a shortage of psychiatry in our country, and about 1 in 6 inmates are in regular prisons.
