Some politicians have provoked this anger themselves: by announcing that the 6% VAT on energy is final,” writes political journalist Isolde Van den Eynde. “Without saying that there will be excise tax reform. And when they said it, they didn’t explain it enough: That support is finite. It will rise again.”
