Liege and the Dutch clubs The Hague and Amsterdam are not licensed to participate in the BNXT League, a Belgian and Dutch basketball tournament next season. The clubs involved can still appeal.
According to the licensing committee, the clubs involved “could not provide the necessary guarantees.” The other 18 teams are fine.
“The club has three days to appeal the decision processed by the BAS (Belgian Court of Arbitration for Sport),” the BNXT League said.
“BAS handles football licensing issues on a regular basis. For files related to the BNXT League, a Dutch and Belgian arbitrator will set up a chamber of commerce.”
