With a great end to 2022 in mind, Cynthia Bolingo eagerly awaits what 2023 has to offer. She already has her one main goal. It’s the World Championships in Athletics in August. “For that, you have to work hard to do some things better and control the things you can control,” Bolingo said.
Cynthia Bolingo has played in two finals at the 2022 European Championships in the 400m and 4x400m. Additionally, she set her new national record in her 400m at Memorial Van Damme.
“yes’Of course, the end of the season is another source of motivation. This shows that anything is possible,” said Mr Bolingo during his BOIC internship in Turkey.
“I’m really looking forward to what 2023 will bring. I have to work hard to make some things better and control the things I can control.”
I think I can still improve in all areas.
After a rich and inspiring year, Brussels residents know that there is still room for improvement. “I think we can improve in all areas,” laughs Bolingo.
“The most important thing is to train more regularly and be more careful to avoid panicking and avoiding injuries. It’s about being more focused.”
Although she has missed the European Indoor Championships, Bolingo is focused on the World Cup in Budapest in August.
“That’s the big goal for 2023. We want to put in a strong performance there with the Cheetahs. We also want to do as well as we can on an individual level. We don’t want to be tied to time. Because it creates extra pressure. With no regrets, we’ll do our best and see where it goes.”
