The International Criminal Court (ICC) has issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin. The court sitting in the Dutch city of The Hague accuses him of war crimes in Ukraine.
The ICC accuses Putin of being responsible for the illegal deportation and transfer of Ukrainian children. According to the ISS, these actions were committed on the occupied territory of Ukraine from February 24, 2022. Putin will be personally responsible for these crimes, according to the press release.
The Russian Commissioner for Children’s Rights, Maria Lvova-Belova, is also accused of the deportation and relocation of children. It is noteworthy that in October 2022 she herself admitted that she had adopted a boy from Mariupol. He is also already on the Western sanctions list.
