The German police revealed the mystery of the so-called “double murder”. A missing young woman was found dead in her car by her parents. Until a double appeared. The alleged victim is currently in prison as a felon. She tried to fake her own death. “The burden of proof is extremely high,” says the prosecutor.

It was on the evening of Tuesday, August 16, that the body of a young woman was found in Ingolstadt – in the German state of Bavaria. She was in the car of the missing 23-year-old beautician, and at first everyone assumed it was her. The victim was killed with dozens of stab wounds.
Further investigation and autopsy raised doubts about the identity of the deceased. In the end, he turned out to be the one who resembled the missing German-Iraqi Shahraban K. The latter was soon arrested on suspicion of murder together with a 23-year-old Kosovar.
A DNA examination and identification of the body by a friend revealed that the victim was 23-year-old Algerian Khadija M. She came from Heilbronn in Baden-Württemberg, about 200 kilometers away. It was not immediately clear what her relationship with the suspects was.
The German prosecutor’s office confirmed to Bild that a week before the murder, Sharaban K. communicated with the victim under various pseudonyms. In one of the attempts, she convinced the victim that she could take part in the filming of the German rapper Lune’s video. However, when she texted them, she found that there was nothing to it.
A little later, she was trapped when she was told that she could work as a model at Shahraban K.’s hair salon near Ingolstadt. The victim made an appointment on August 16. Shahraban K. and her friend Shekir K. picked up the woman at her home in Heilbronn.
“The victim was lured out of the car under a drive in the forest and killed, inflicting about fifty stab wounds,” Prosecutor General Veronika Grieser tells “Bild”. The murder weapon has not yet been found and both suspects remain silent. “But the evidence is compelling,” Grieser said. “The investigation shows that Shahraban K. wanted to fake her own death. She wanted to hide because of a family quarrel.”
Two new arrest warrants were issued last week. Shahraban K. and Shechir K. are now suspected not of involuntary manslaughter, but of murder. They face life imprisonment.
