The Coalition of Black Members of Congress from the Democratic Party has invited the Nichols family to participate in US President Joe Biden’s address to Congress next week. According to a coalition official, the family accepted the invitation.
Earlier, President Biden said he was “outraged” and “deeply offended” by police brutality against 20-year-olds. “This beating led to his death,” the president said. In addition, Biden emphasized that Nichols’ relatives have asked for peaceful protests, and he also supports this desire. “One who seeks justice should not resort to violence or destruction,” he said.
