A National Foundation Day shooting suspect in Highland Park, a suburb of Chicago, was officially charged with seven murders. So, says the Attorney General of Lake County, north of Chicago. Seven people were killed in the shooting.
If convicted, 21-year-old Robert Climo could face life imprisonment without parole, said Lake County lawyer Eric Reinhardt. “These are just the first of many accusations filed against Klimo,” he added.
The man fired at the parade and spectators on Monday. Shooting during the July 4 parade at Highland Park killed seven people and injured dozens. The shooter was arrested hours after a short chase.
